More about me

After gaining an MA in English Literature, I began my career as a speechwriter in the public sector before moving into business journalism, eventually editing The Media Leader until 2020.Following a period of travel, I went freelance — producing magazine features under my own byline and working with clients ranging from global insight firms to sustainability-focused start-ups. I also write fiction — and in 2026, my short story The Artist in the Mud won first prize in the Bedford International Short Story Award.I get a genuine kick out of writing and love helping people share their ideas and tell compelling stories. If it involves words, great ideas and nice people, I'm interested.I also love travel, adventure, and rock climbing — and in 2023 became a member of the Arctic Research Group after joining an expedition as a writer.
